I have been preparing taxes since 2010. I am a licensed tax preparer through the California Tax Education Council (CTEC). Before becoming a tax gal, I worked for nine years in financial consulting and investment management. Additional professional experience includes banking, property management, retail and a stint in the Peace Corps in West Africa. My professional experience is varied which allows me to share a broader perspective with my clients.
Outside of the tax office, I like to cook and work in the garden. My husband and I have remodeled several homes together. The current project is a Victorian in Arcata that is nearly finished… but are renovation projects really ever done…?
I volunteer time with a variety of nonprofit service and arts organizations. I have been a member of the Rotary Club of Arcata Sunrise since 2002, including a year as the club’s president. I am also involved in community theatre, working as a stage manager on various productions at Redwood Curtain Theatre and Ferndale Repertory Theatre. Finally, I have been a volunteer with Planned Parenthood for several years.
